Energy Consumption in Conventional Air Conditioning and Refrigeration System

Industry insiders all know that refrigeration is not just a simple cooling process. Compared with natural cooling, the process of refrigeration is actually a process of transferring heat from low temperature heat source to high temperature heat source by consuming certain external energy (such as electric energy, thermal energy, solar energy, etc.). Therefore, when refrigeration is used to reduce the temperature of refrigerant carrier, coupled with the heat transformed by external work, more heat than the cold will inevitably be produced. At present, in most of the air conditioning design, this heat is given up, at the same time it consumes the power of pumps and fans to take heat away by the cooling medium (water, air, etc.) using the condenser. If this heat is used, one-way energy consumption and two-way output will be achieved, the energy efficiency of refrigeration units will be greatly improved, and energy consumption of cooling system will be saved.

Principle of heat recovery air conditioning and its Energy conservation effect

The cold water source directly enters the water inlet of the water heater casing, and absorbs the heat released by the compressed high temperature and high pressure refrigerant through counter-current circulation, which can not only improve the efficiency of the condensation system, but also achieve the purpose of heating the cold water. The heated hot water (55~60℃) is directly put into the storage tank for the use of various domestic hot water. The whole air-conditioning system works with electricity driving, but heating is not driven by electricity. In terms of Energy conservation, although there are abundant electric resources, direct heating with electricity not only consumes a large amount of electricity, but also has high operating cost, and the electric heat pipe is damageable. For the conventional heating with oil-fired boilers, the efficiency is not high due to the high price of fuel. Therefore, the energy-saving effect of the heat recovery air-conditioning technology is quite remarkable, and the hot water generated by the system is completely free when the system refrigerates in the summer.
